- One of the foremost Pediatrician in the country who underwent WHO Fellowship on HIV/AIDS Home and Community care in Thailand in 2003 October.

Contribution made towards Child Welfare activities
- City.- Actively involved in the promotion of breast feeding, Essential Newborn care, Immunization, and Asthma care. Instrumental in establishing Asthma. Clinic and Level II Care Nursery at RIMS and in-charge of ART Centre, RIMS & Asthma Clinic.
- State - Regularly contributing programs on common childhood diseases and Pediatric HIV/AIDS in Doordarshan Kendra, Imphal and All India Radio, Imphal. Actively involved in the prevention and care of HIV infection in children through training on health workers and empowering families and mobilizing community resources in Home and community care. Contributed educational financial assistance of Rs 500/- per month to 5 orphan children living with HIV/AIDS from 9 districs of Manipur through Manipur Network of Positive People(MNP+)
- National level - Contributed as a resource person and as member of the expert committee of various training of the trainers programs and State and National programs on HIV/AIDS and PMTCT ,RCH programs including NRHM.
Outstanding contributions made in the fields of child Health, Pediatric Research, Education, Welfare activities and organizational work.
- Child health – Has been actively serving the children of Manipur through rural health camps, organized by Rotary Club, Lions Club, IMA, IAP and many other Voluntary Organizations. Regularly contributing programs on common childhood diseases in Doordarshan Kendra, Imphal and All India Radio, Imphal and Local TV Channels like ISTV etc.
- Pediatric Research - Pioneer in the field of HIV/AIDS research in Manipur, Poisoning in children, Childhood leukemia and Tuberculous Meningitis(TBM) and Malaria in Children and Congenital malformations at birth in Manipur.
- Education – A teacher in RIMS & JNIMS and Shia Academy of health Sciences, Imphal,Manipur since 1983 and contributed to the teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates and contributed by imparting knowledge and expertise to the medical students..
- Administrative experience – As HOD Pediatrics in RIMS, JNIMS and Shia Academy of health Sciences and as Medical Superintendent in JNIMS, Imphal,Manipur.
- Welfare activities – Actively involved in the care and support of HIV infected and affected children in Manipur and pleaded for the cause of these unfortunate children and families affected by the HIV epidemic in Manipur particularly the problem of orphans through various Govt. and Non - governmental organizations.
